On April 12th 1981 a new type of spacecraft, NASA’s Space Shuttle Columbia, launched into low Earth orbit for its maiden voyage. Since then more than 130 missions have launched from the Kennedy Space Center sending more than 300 astronauts from all over the world on voyages of adventure and discovery.
The Space Shuttle Commemorative logo is the official commemorative patch that captures that triumphant spirit of all five of the orbiters that have made up the Space Shuttle fleet.

In 2010, NASA decided to extend the space shuttle program to continue flying through 2011 due to delays. Due to this, the merchandise will have the year 2011 printed on it instead of the year 2010. We apologize for any confusion.
