The Commemorative Shuttle Pendleton Blanket is a limited edition piece that measures 64 inches by 72 inches. This will only be offered for a limited time so get yours today!
The patch is of the Space Shuttle program logo and the five Orbiters that were part of the program from 1981 to 2011.
Made in the USA, all Pendleton Jacquard blankets start as with design inspiration. This might be from a place, a story, an artifact, or a special event. The Pendleton Fabric Design team takes that inspiration and transforms it into a design that can be woven on the Jacquard looms at the Pendleton, Oregon mill.
Once the design is complete, the mill in Washougal, Washington spins and dyes the yarn for the blanket. The yarn travels to the Pendleton, Oregon mill to be woven, in the very same mill that has produced the legendary American Indian Trade Blankets since 1909.
Once weaving is complete the blankets travel back to Washougal, to be washed, dried, brushed, sewn, inspected, and packaged. They are then ready to be shipped to customers around the world.
In 2010, NASA decided to extend the space shuttle program to continue flying through 2011 due to delays. Due to this, the merchandise will have the year 2011 printed on it instead of the year 2010. We apologize for any confusion.
